History: A combatant in the Chattian rebellion against Domitian, Hildreth followed Auriane, Daughter of the Ash, into battle.

After intial successes, the war turned against the Chattians - and ultimately, they were defeated in battle by the Legions of Rome.

Like Auriane, Hildreth was selected for gladiator training, but unlike her more famous sword-sister, Hildreth did not make it to Rome, but was rather shipped out to the provinces and ending up in the ludus of Lucius Balbus.

Taken as a slave around about the same time as the Spartan, Lysandra, the two women were inducted into the training in the same class.

A friendly rivalry grows between Germanic warrior woman and Spartan priestess, a rivalry noted and cultivated by Balbus. He will pit the companions against each other in a bloody spectacle from which only one will walk away.
